BELÉM, Brazil, November 18, 2025—At a significant event during COP30 in Belém, the Brazil Restoration and Bioeconomy Finance Coalition (BRB FC) revealed that it has successfully mobilized an impressive US$ 5.37 billion for initiatives focused on forest restoration and bioeconomy within the country. This substantial funding represents over half of the ambitious target of US$ 10 billion set to be mobilized by the year 2030.
The coalition's efforts will enable the restoration of approximately 3.7 million hectares of Brazilian forests, which is crucial for enhancing biodiversity, combating climate change, and promoting sustainable economic practices. During a panel discussion at the Climate Conference, key figures, including government officials and environmental advocates, emphasized the importance of this financial mobilization in addressing pressing environmental challenges. The coalition's progress underscores Brazil's commitment to sustainable development and its role in global environmental stewardship. The momentum generated at COP30 is expected to further galvanize support for ongoing and future restoration projects across the nation.
