After a temporary relocation, the City of Appleton's finance service desk and drive-thru are set to reopen in their normal, primary location within the main City Hall lobby. The services had been operating from the lower-level entrance for several weeks due to necessary building maintenance and upgrades in the main area.
This return, effective immediately, marks a restoration of standard convenience for residents handling municipal financial transactions. The main lobby desk is the central point for services including water bill payments, parking ticket payments, dog license purchases, and general financial inquiries. The adjacent drive-thru window, accessible from South Drew Street, also resumes its regular operations for those preferring to conduct business from their vehicles.
City officials express appreciation for the public's patience during the temporary shift. They emphasize that the interim arrangement ensured no interruption in essential services while improvements were completed. Residents can now once again access these finance services at their customary, more prominent location during standard City Hall business hours. The move is expected to streamline in-person transactions and improve overall accessibility for the community.
